Volumetric Diet - Things You Should Know

The Volumetric Diet is the latest craze on TV and fitness magazines because it has proven time and time again to actually be a diet that works. It originates in the University of Pennsylvania and was created by professor Barbara Rolls, one of the most respected professionals in the U.S. when it comes to matters such dieting and obesity control. She based her findings on numerous studies and experiments performed in clinics across the US. As Rolls says, every day a person eats about the same amount of food. But calories each day can vary

Just What is the Volumetric Diet?

Aside from obviously being a diet that works great it is also a major lifestyle changer and great addition to your weight-loss/exercise program. Foods with the same calorie content have different energy densities and this is the starting premise of the diet. Just to give you an example, two cups of grapes and a quarter cup of raisins contains 100 calories. However, in the first case, you will be satisfied, and the second only whetted the appetite for a while.

Risk Factors Involved With Pepper Spray

Often I write articles about the benefits of owning a pepper spray product without focusing too much in detail about some possible negatives. Generally, there is really no negative in owning a non-lethal product for self-defense, but there are certain risk factors that are worth mentioning and discussing. Some of them might be silly to one who is fairly familiar with this device and how it operates but I feel that I should certainly write this article for those who are not aware of these issues.
